Coronavirus Symptoms & Feeling Unwell
You should not travel to stay with us if you have been feeling unwell with any of the coronavirus symptoms (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) during the last 14 days.
In line with UK Government advice if you feel have coronavirus symptoms, you must self isolate and get a test quickly as possible. If you self isolate here at the hotel to wait for a test, you will incur the full cost of the room for the duration of your stay if it exceeds your original booking.
You must ensure you have a plan and means of transport home should you need to check out and leave quickly. We will offer a refund for any nights that are remaining on a stay if you do have to leave early due to coronavirus.
Social Distancing & Face Coverings
You must follow the latest UK Government Social Distancing & Face Coverings Guidance when staying with us and we expect everyone to show respect to each other when using our public areas such as the hallways, dining room and the bar. Face coverings must be worn at all times outside of your bedroom until you are seated in the dining room or bar or you are outside. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please let us know when you check in and we can make a note of this.
Cleaning & Hygiene
Everybody must use the hand gel available we have provided at the main front door as you come in and out of the hotel. There are additional hand gel dispensers available at reception, in the dining room and in the bar and all guest rooms have antibacterial hand wash in the bathroom. NHS guide on how to wash hands.
Extra cleaning and disinfecting measures are in place across all rooms and public spaces to keep everything clean and safe.
Guest Check In & Check Out
Check In is from 15:00 and we are unfortunately unable to accept early arrivals or access to the hotel before this time. We will take full payment for your room when you Check In leaving you free to Check Out by 11:00 without having to wait or queue. Please drop your room key in the basket at Reception which will then indicate to us you have left and your room is ready for cleaning.
Guest Rooms & Services
Our rooms will still have bedding and towels, however, they will look a little different because we have removed items such as toiletries, soft cushions, bedspreads, magazines, visitor guides and information packs. Items such as spare blankets, which, along with toiletries, extra teas / coffees / milks are always available on request.
We will not access or service your room during your stay, but if you need anything at all, you just need to speak to Steve & Karen who will be more than happy to help you. We will discuss this in more detail when you check in.
Breakfast, Dining & Bar
To support social distancing breakfast is served over two sittings (08:30 & 09:30) in our spacious dining and ask for your flexibility when we allocate breakfast sittings as we may not be able to get everyone seated at their preferred sitting.
Our spacious and fully licensed bar (including outside seating) will be open every day from 17:30 to 22:00.
Restaurants in Scarborough will be operating at lower capacity and shorter opening times, so if you are planning to eat out, we would advise you to plan ahead and make a reservation as soon as you can.
